Why do you call this “Safety as a Ministry”?
Because safety is not just about procedures or protection—it’s about people. We believe helping your team continue to grow closer to God and step into who God created them to be will in turn, provide a safer, more engaged team that creates an environment where your team and your attendee's can encounter Jesus.
Does this mean our church is unsafe right now?
Not at all. Every campus has risks simply because people gather there. Our goal is to help churches proactively identify opportunities to strengthen care, preparedness, and alignment—not to create fear or alarm.
Will this turn our church into a “security-focused” environment?
No. Our approach is ministry-first, not enforcement-first. The goal is calm presence, wise preparation, and loving vigilance—never intimidation or distraction from worship.
What does a campus walk-through risk assessment involve?
It’s a guided, observational physical, or virtual walk of your campus focused on entry points, flow of people, visibility, communication, and response readiness. There are no disruptions to ministry and no “gotcha” moments—only constructive insight.
Who should attend the leadership sessions?
We recommend pastors and key decision-makers who oversee operations, ministry, or volunteers. These conversations focus on vision, authority, care for volunteers, and alignment with your church’s mission.
Is the Safety Team training tactical or law-enforcement focused?
No. Training is appropriate for church volunteers and emphasizes awareness, communication, ministry posture, and team culture—grounded in wisdom, discernment, and servant leadership.
What is the FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP)?
NSGP is a federal grant program that reimburses nonprofits, including churches, to fund campus hardening enhancements such as cameras, access control, lighting, radios, and training. Current grant is up to $200,000 per site, up to 3.
Is it appropriate for churches to apply for federal grants?
Yes. Many churches do so responsibly as an act of wise stewardship. These grants are optional and never replace prayer, discernment, or dependence on God—they simply help fund practical needs.
Do you guarantee that we’ll receive a grant?
No. Grant awards are not guaranteed. Our role is to guide churches through the process with clarity, compliance, and best practices to improve competitiveness.
Can we start with a smaller package and grow later?
Absolutely. Many churches begin with the Foundations or Watchmen package and build from there as clarity, trust, and vision grow.
What’s the next step if we’re interested?
Reach out for a conversation. We’ll listen, pray if desired, and help you discern whether this is a good fit for your church—no pressure, just partnership.
